Notice of Funds Availability under the HOME Program for Homeowner Rehabilitation/Reconstruction Program
Mississippi Home Corporation announces the availability of $3,000,000 grant funds under the HOME Program to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to low and very low-income homeowners through the Homeowner Rehabilitation/Reconstruction Program. These funds will be used for the purpose of reconstruction and rehabilitation of existing units or replacement of manufactured homes. Funds will aid households (individuals and families) whose annual gross income is at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The HOME program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is administered by Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC).
All local units of government are eligible to apply for Homeowner Rehabilitation/Reconstruction funding through a competitive process. MHC will use a ranking process to select projects for funding. Applications will be reviewed according to the HOME program federal regulations and Threshold and Scoring criteria.
