Notice of Funds Availability under the HOME Program for Homeowner Rehabilitation/Reconstruction Program
Mississippi Home Corporation announces the availability of $2,714,278 grant funds under the HOME Program to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to low and very-low income homeowners through the Homeowner Rehabilitation/Reconstruction Program. These funds will be used for the purpose of reconstruction and rehabilitation of existing units or replacement of manufactured homes. Funds will aid households (individuals and families) whose annual gross income is at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The HOME program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is administered by Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC).
All local units of government are eligible to apply for Homeowner Rehabilitation/Reconstruction funding through a competitive process. MHC will use a ranking process to select projects for funding. Applications will be reviewed according to the HOME program federal regulations and Threshold and Scoring criteria.

June 28, 2019 – Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)
August 16, 2019 – Applications Due Date – Phase I
August 16-30, 2019 – Application Review: Threshold, Application Scoring & Feasibility
August 30, 2019 – Notification of Application: Clarification of Deficiency
September 3, 2019 – Cure Period (Ends at 4:00 p.m.): Clarification and/or Deficiency Addressed
September 11-12, 2019 – Funding Announcement (via MHC’s Website): Commitment Letters, Phase II Application Workshop Announcements Notifications Mailout
