Homeowner Rehabilitation
Homeowner Rehabilitation funding is designed to preserve owner-occupied units when feasible by securing structural integrity and correcting deficiencies in major systems. New units can be constructed for owners to replace units that are too deteriorated to preserve. Manufactured units may be used to replace manufactured housing. Funds are awarded through a competitive process.
Required Info:
- Household income must be at or below 80% of area median income
- Owner must have occupied the unit at least 15 years, and evidence of ownership and occupancy is required.
- Units must be replaced if three or more of the following systems fail to meet current building code:: electrical, roofing, foundation, plumbing, and heating/cooling.
- Units that meet building code in at least three (3) of the systems may be rehabilitated if the cost is less than the limits established for the application cycle.
