PUBLIC HEARING ANNOUNCEMENT
State of Mississippi 2023 Annual Action Plan
Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC) and the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) will conduct two public hearings to obtain input from citizens for the draft of the 2023 Annual Action Plan. The Annual Action Plan is a requirement of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and sets forth the state’s method of distribution of anticipated program funds under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program, HOME Investments Partnerships (HOME) Program, Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) Program, and the National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) Program.
The First Public Hearing for the 2023 Annual Action Plan will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the North Delta Planning and Development District office located at 220 Power Drive, Batesville, MS 38606.
The Second Public Hearing for the 2023 Annual Action Plan will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District office located at 10441 Corporate Drive, Suite 1, Gulfport, MS 39503.
The 30-Day Public Comment period will begin on April 1, 2023, and end on May 1, 2023. All comments can be sent via email to David Hancock at david.hancock@mshc.com, or via U.S. Mail to David Hancock, 735 Riverside Drive, Jackson, MS, 39202.
Citizens, local officials, nonprofit organizations, stakeholders, and community groups are invited and encouraged to participate.
